About Share Astronomy

Share Astronomy is a community for everyone interested in astronomy. The first version of our web site consists of a blog section and a list of interesting news items and links. However, please rest assured there is much more on the way. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible site to showcase your work and to "meet" other astronomers from all over the world. Hopefully, you will make new friends, learn a lot and have fun!

FAQ

1. Is this site designed to replace my current favorite astronomy web site?

No - not at all. We think there's plenty of room for everyone. We just see a niche that needs to be filled and we have some very exciting and unique features coming soon.

2. Are you going to charge me to use this site?

Again no. Some of the features we have planned will cost a lot to support and maintain but we plan on making our money off of advertising. Everyone will be able to use Share Astronomy for free.

3. Is this site just for amateur astronomers?

We sure hope not! In fact, one of our main goals is to act as a bridge between amateur astronomers and professional astronomers.

4. What time zone are you using for the blog posts and comments?

Right now all dates and times are UTC. We have a new release coming soon that will allow you to customize your profile settings, including time zone.

5. I am having trouble using Share Astronomy. What should I do?

We do our best to thoroughly test Share Astronomy. However, if you are having problems, please feel free to contact us at: help at nealstreetdesign dot com.
